Meet Rio

Rio Kikuchi

Guest Dancer

Rio Kikuchi was born in Tokyo,Japan. At age of 3, RIO Began ballet at Studio Benus in 2001.RIO studied Ballet,Ballet Point work,Tap and Jazz. She studied Ballet technic and Point work privately by Luis Villanueva. In 2017, Rio moved to New York City and received a scholarship form The School of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 2017-2019.

She took Summer Intensive at Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington DC in 2015 and also She received Scholarship at Alonzo King Lines Ballet Summer Program in 2019.

She has worked with Ronni Favors,Darshan Singh Bhuller,Benjamin Briones,Ari Mayzick.

She has peformed “Memora” with Alvin Ailey Dance Theater at New York City Center in 2018.

She joined Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company in 2019.
